Joyce Gomez, 38, a mother of two young children, was reported missing on April 25, 2025, after finishing her shift at The Whiskey Bar in Pass Christian, Mississippi. She was last seen around 10:52 p.m. in downtown Bay St. Louis, reportedly getting into a truck with her ex-boyfriend, Brett Huntley Keel.

Friends and coworkers, including Chris Langer, quickly grew concerned when Gomez didn’t return home. Her body was found two days later, on April 27, near W Wittman Road by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities soon confirmed her death and suspected foul play.
